Privacy
Link World turns a link-in-bio page into a small world. This page says what we keep when you visit a page, sign up on one or make one, and what we don't.
Visiting a page
- No cookies, no advertising trackers and no outside analytics.
- We count views, which cards are seen and which links are clicked, as daily totals. To count unique visitors we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and browser for each day; these are deleted after two days.
- The page, its world, fonts and pictures come from our own server. If you press play on a Spotify, YouTube or SoundCloud card, that player loads from that service, and its own privacy policy applies.
- Live weather comes from Open-Meteo, fetched by our server; your browser never contacts it.
Signing up on a page
If you join a page's list, we keep the email address or phone number you give, which page and card it was, the words you agreed to, and when, so that page's owner can reach you. Ask the page's owner, or us, to remove you.
Making a page
- Your username, your email and a scrambled (hashed) password. Your email is only used to sign in and to send a password reset you ask for.
- What you do in the studio. We log account activity (signing in, making and publishing pages, asking for worlds, a few steps in the studio) with a one-way hash of your IP address, so we can run the service, stop abuse and see where it's hard to use. These records are kept for 180 days; after that only daily totals remain.
- Your pages and the pictures and logos you upload. Uploaded pictures are stored on our server at hard-to-guess addresses; anyone given one can see it.
- AI. When you ask for an AI-made world, a product to be read from a photo, ideas for your brand, or your character from a photo, what you wrote and the pictures involved are sent to an AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) to get the answer. Their own terms apply to what they receive. We record what each request cost, not its pictures.
- Your character from a photo. The photo is sent once to an AI provider to read your style (hair, clothes, glasses, a hat, one skin colour), and then thrown away; it is never saved on our server. Only the cartoon look is kept, and you can change it or turn it off. We never ask about your age, gender, ethnicity or body, and the character isn't a likeness of you.
- Real places. When you make a world from a real place, our server fetches public map data for it (OpenStreetMap, US government aerial photos and building outlines, Mapillary street photos).
Your choices
You can change your username, email and password, or close your account (which deletes your pages and the worlds you made), in your account settings. You can also ask what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Link World isn't meant for anyone under 13.
